Bayswater is in the City of Westminster and is in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It’s located 2.5 miles north-west of Charing Cross.
There are three tube stations, all within walking distance of each other: Bayswater, on the Circle and District line, Queensway, on the Central line, and Lancaster Gate, also on the Central Line. There is also a good local bus network, with the 94 heading into central London on a regular basis, while the number 70 goes to nearby West-London area Chiswick.
The area has attractive period properties, is a cultural kaleidoscope, offers fantastic restaurants, and is located moments away from some of London’s finest amenities. Sure, it can be pricey, but when compared to neighboring areas, it’s a good value for money and a prime London location.
